CORONA VIRUS UPDATE (as of 3rd  July 2020)

In line with new regulations announced by the Government in the past two weeks, the Parish Council has thoroughly reviewed the guidance in relation to opening the Grosvenor Centre and the play parks.

Grosvenor Centre

Many regular activities would not be permissible and others negated by their very nature.  As a result it is unviable to reopen the Grosvenor Centre at this time.  Councillors will be meeting again in August with a view to reopening the centre in September

Play Parks (Brookhouse Road and Chippy Jumps)

Both parks will be reopened on Saturday 4th July from 10am.  New rules have been imposed and will be clearly displayed on notices.   Users of the play equipment do so at their own choice and risk.  The Council is unable to constantly clean the facility.  Users are to maintain appropriate social distancing.   The Council reserve the right to close the park if the rules are not adhered to but we hope this will be a last resort and those using the facilities will act responsibly.

The tennis court remains open.  People are allowed to play singles tennis with one member of their household OR one member from a different household as long as social distancing  is maintained.  Doubles tennis must only be played with members of your own household.

The MUGA is open and users are asked to note the guidelines about using it which are displayed at the entrance.

The Boardwalk remains open but has a one way system to ensure a social distancing  can be maintained (from Brookhouse Road towards the allotments)

The library and GG’s youth club remain closed.

The Parish Council office is closed to visitors but is staffed to take calls and emails.

The hotline is still operating for anyone who needs help with shopping, meals, collection of prescriptions or just a chat.  Call 07947 104 411
